Camera Modes in ProCamera

ProCamera's camera modes provide optimized controls and workflows for different shooting scenarios.

Available Camera Modes:

Icon_photo.svg PHOTO Main mode for taking photos.
Video_icon2.svg VIDEO Main mode for recording video.
Person_icon.svg PORTRAIT Mode for taking portrait photos with depth blur (Bokeh).
4.svg SELFIE Mode for taking selfies with the front-facing camera.
Icon_Moon.svg LOWLIGHT Mode for taking photos in low-light conditions.
Icon_Moon1.svg LOWLIGHT+

Special Mode for taking photos in low-light conditions on older phones.(*)

HDR_icon.svg HDR vividHDR: Special mode for taking HDR photos, optimized for older phones.(**)
Icon2.svg BOTHIE Special mode for recording video with both the front- and rear-facing cameras simultaneously (two separate files).
Icon_Moon2.svg STREAM

Special mode for streaming clean video feed via HDMI or AirPlay.

Video_icon.svg SCAN Special mode for scanning all kinds of barcodes incl. QR codes.

LOWLIGHT+* and HDR (vividHDR)** are legacy modes originally developed for earlier iPhone generations. As device capabilities have evolved, availability may vary depending on your model. To check availability on your device, open the Control Panel (1) and tap Shop (2) at the bottom.

Switching modes in ProCamera:

  1. On the Capture Screen of ProCamera, tap the Camera Mode button (next to the main Shutter button).
  2. Select the mode you wish to use. Scroll up and down to see the full list.

To personalize the Modes list according to your preferences and app usage, tap Edit List at the top. This lets you change the order of the listed modes and hide those that you don't use.

Quickly switching between your two main camera modes:

On the capture screen, long press the Camera Mode button to switch between the first two modes in your list. This is very helpful for quick switches where you don't even need to open the full list of camera modes.
