ProCamera Up is a premium feature bundle that helps you take your photography and videography to the next level.
How to unlock ProCamera Up
Existing users in the old model can unlock it via subscription or one-time purchase. For new users, it’s integrated into the full app at no extra cost, available by subscription or, in select regions, through a one-time payment.
Premium features included in ProCamera Up:
Auto Perspective Correct (APC)
This feature corrects perspective distortion during shooting, enabling you to capture perfectly straight photos. The APC feature is available in camera modes Photo and LowLight and it's also available in the Editing Studio.
- On the ProCamera Capture Screen, open the Control Panel.
- Swipe left to access the second page of the Control Panel.
- Tap APC to enable the APC button on the Capture Screen.
In the Control Panel, enabling the APC feature introduces a round APC button on the Capture Screen. This button activates and deactivates the Auto Perspective Correct function. When active, the APC button is blue.
Custom camera presets
Custom camera presets allow you to store your preferred exposure, white balance, and focus settings. You can quickly switch between these settings when shooting photos or videos.
Custom camera presets are available in camera modes Photo, Video, LowLight.
To store a preset: Adjust Exposure, White Balance, and Focus as you like. Then, press and hold the corresponding button on the Manual Controls panel: SI or M for Exposure, WB for White Balance, and MF for Manual Focus. Select Add preset from the list to store your custom settings.
Use a preset by first pressing and holding the corresponding button on the Manual Controls panel. Select a preset by tapping it. Choose from the default presets or use one of your own custom presets.
(RAW) Exposure bracketing
The Exposure bracketing mode enables you to capture a bracketed sequence of photos with different exposure levels. Exposure bracketing is available in camera modes Photo and LowLight. In LowLight mode, the Exposure bracketing will always use the lowest possible ISO values and longer exposure times.
- On the ProCamera Capture Screen, open the Control Panel.
- Tap the ISO & Shutter button (note that the icon for the ISO & Shutter button may vary depending on which mode is currently set; e.g. A, M or SI).
- Select Exposure Bracketing (EB).
To adjust your Exposure Bracket, return to the Capture Screen and (1) tap the EB button on the Manual Controls panel. (2) Then, move the outer blue bracket markers on the Exposure Bracketing dial to set the maximum over-/under-exposure for the series of photos.
Under Settings > Exposure Bracketing you will find more options.
Anamorphic desqueeze
The Anamorphic desqueeze feature allows you to obtain a wider image with the correct aspect ratio when using a physical anamorphic lens to shoot photos or record videos.
Support for anamorphic lenses is available in camera modes Photo and Video.
- On the ProCamera Capture Screen, open the Control Panel.
- Swipe left to access the second page of the Control Panel.
- Tap the Anamorphic desqueeze button and select one of the available Anamorphic desqueeze factors (1.33x or 1.55x depending on the lens you are using).
Return to the Capture Screen and tap the anamorphic desqueeze button. It toggles the Anamorphic desqueeze on/off. The previously selected Anamorphic desqueeze factor (1.33x or 1.55x) will be used.
Previewing videos with Anamorphic desqueeze applied
Open a video in single media view in ProCamera. Tap the anamorphic desqueeze button at the bottom right of the preview screen to switch between the normal aspect ratio and the desqueezed video. Once chosen, tap the Play button to view the video with the selected Anamorphic desqueeze factor. This only affects the presentation of the video in ProCamera, it does not alter/desqueeze the video file.
Previewing and saving photos with Anamorphic desqueeze applied
Open a photo in single media view in ProCamera. Tap the Edit button. Navigate to the ProCut section within the Editing Studio. Select the Anamorphic tool. Choose the desired Anamorphic desqueeze factor. Save a new version of the photo with the desqueeze applied, ensuring correct display in other apps and on other devices.
Private Lightbox
Private Lightbox allows you to securely store your photos and videos in a hidden folder within ProCamera. This folder is safeguarded with FaceID or TouchID authentication. -
- Open ProCamera Settings.
- Tap Focus option (General Options section).
- Make sure the Focus Peaking option is turned on. Enable the Dual Color option (Focus Guide section).
Export HDR photo as HDR video clip
At the time of writing, there is still no easy way to import your true HDR photos from your iPhone into dedicated video editing software. Video editing programs may present your HDR photos too dark and dull, and true ISO-HDR photos simply don’t show up as they can’t be interpreted.
Our feature enables you to export your HDR photos as 10-bit HDR video clips. It allows you to incorporate your HDR photos into a HDR video project while maintaining the benefits of true HDR photos.
- In ProCamera, open an HDR image. Tap the Edit button.
- In the Editing Studio, press and hold the Save button until the additional saving options appear. Tap the Save New Image As ... button.
- Select the HDR VIDEO CLIP option.
