With ProCamera 17.3, we upgraded the Lightbox (the internal media library inside ProCamera) to support fast, easy file transfers to a Mac or Windows computer. You can now also access your Lightbox content from any app that integrates with the Files app.
How to transfer files to a Windows PC using Apple Devices app or iTunes:
Connect your device to your computer using a cable. Make sure your device is turned on. You may be asked to unlock your device with a passcode or to trust the connected device.
Launch the Apple Devices app or iTunes on your Windows computer.
Note that before the Apple Devices app, device management and file transfer were handled through the iTunes app on Mac. Both apps work the same way; button placement may differ slightly.
In the iTunes app, select your device.
Open the File Sharing tab.
Find ProCamera in the list of apps and click it. The list of files available for export will appear.
Select files you wish to export to your computer.
Drag and drop the selected files to any folder you wish to transfer the files to on your computer.
Warning
Please note that any files you delete here are also deleted permanently from your iPhone/iPad.
As an alternative to directly transferring the files to your computer, you can export files from your Lightbox to the iOS media library ("Recents") first. Some users like to use the Lightbox for temporarily storing big amounts of photos from a photo shooting and then exporting the best shots to the iOS media library ("Recents") where they will be synced with Apple's Photos Cloud.
Direct export of Private Lightbox files
Note that safeguarded Private Lightbox files cannot be directly exported to a computer. This is due to the privacy-focused design of the Private Lightbox. However, you can export Private Lightbox files to the Lightbox and use the steps above to copy the files to your computer. You can also export your Private Lightbox files to iCloud Drive or an external storage device connected to your iPhone using the iOS Files app.
Alternatively, you can export the files to the iOS media library and from there export them using the Windows Photos app or iTunes (or some other third party app).
