Pausing videos while filming in ProCamera

In Video mode, ProCamera lets you pause a recording at any time and resume it later, allowing you to create a single video instead of multiple separate clips.

This feature is ideal for recording a video in multiple segments while saving everything as one continuous video file.

Here are the possible use-cases for using the pausing feature during recording videos:

  • Content Creators & Vloggers – record different takes in one file.
  • Teachers & Trainers – pause during or between explanations or demonstrations.
  • Families & Casual Users – capture highlights at events without multiple clips.
  • Journalists & Field Reporters – pause when moving between locations.

Using the Pause feature keeps all footage in a single video file, eliminates the need to merge clips later, and helps reduce duplicate clips and unnecessary footage.

Use the dedicated Pause button to pause and resume a recording:

The Pause button is only displayed while a video is being recorded. When filming, tap the Pause button to pause the recording. Tap it again to resume recording.

To end the recording, tap the main Shutter button, which displays a red Stop icon (square) while recording.
