Shutter sound can be eliminated on most iPhones by switching the ring/silent switch (on the upper left-hand side of the iPhone).
In some markets, especially in Asia, shutter sound can currently not be muted.
As shutter sound is iOS controlled, it cannot be muted by way of ProCamera's system sounds setting.
Tip: as a workaround, you can record a video and take still images (video snapshots) while recording. In this case there will be no shutter sound. However, the still images taken in Video mode will be in the native video format and will have a slightly different look than photos taken in Photo mode.
