ProCamera gives you full control of the flash — for shooting in low light, or for a deliberate, lit look. You control it with the Flash button in the top-left corner of the Capture Screen; a long-press turns the flash into a continuous light.
Tap the Flash button to cycle through the flash modes:
| Auto — ProCamera evaluates the lighting and fires the flash only when it's needed. | |
| On — the flash always fires, regardless of the lighting. | |
| Off — the flash never fires, regardless of the lighting. |
Flash and the ISO / Exposure Time dials in SI and M mode
The flash is unavailable in semi-automatic SI and manual M mode while the ISO or Exposure Time dial is active. As soon as you enable either dial, the Flash button becomes inactive.
Using the flash as a continuous light
Long-press the Flash button to turn the flash into a continuous light. This is the Steady Light (torch) feature: it lets you light and frame your subject before the shot, which helps in low light or dark environments. See the Steady Light article for how to set its intensity.
