How to start taking pictures with ProCamera

When you first launch ProCamera, it is ready to take photos as a simple point and shoot camera right "out of the box". All the necessary shooting parameters will be set automatically. To capture your desired scene or object, simply point your camera and tap the Shutter button.

Select the lens

You have the option to choose any lens available on your device as the primary lens for capturing photos. Simply use the lens selector to select the desired lens for your shot.

In automatic A mode, the camera might automatically switch between lenses, use multiple lenses, and combine their photos. If you want to use a specific lens exclusively, switch to semi-automatic SI or manual M mode.

Set focus and exposure

To set focus and exposure on a specific place or object in the viewfinder, simply tap on that spot where the place or object is located. This will make the Focus Square (blue) and Exposure Circle (yellow) appear, and the app will immediately adjust the focus and exposure to that precise spot.

Note that you can switch back to AUTO exposure and focus simply by tapping the center of the viewfinder, as you can see in the animation above ("AUTO" label appears inside large Focus and Exposure elements).

You can also use them separately. For example, if you want to set the exposure on one spot in the viewfinder and focus on another, you can drag each element to the desired spot.

If you want to adjust Focus, Exposure and other parameters manually, follow this instruction.

Lock focus or exposure

If you want to keep the Focus and Exposure values constant even when the scene changes, you can lock them. To do this, press and hold the Focus Square or Exposure Circle you would like to lock. When one is locked, its value will remain the same even if you move the camera or the lighting or subject distance changes. To unlock, press and hold the control element again.

Adjust brightness

If you want to adjust the overall brightness of the image, you can use the Exposure Compensation (EV) dial. To enable it, tap the EV button at the center of the top bar. The EV dial then appears in the bottom panel of the Capture Screen, right above the Shutter button. Slide your finger over the EV dial to darken or brighten your capture. To reset the Exposure Compensation, tap the EV button again (+/- symbol is displayed).

Activate the self-timer

To activate the self-timer, simply tap the Second Shutter button (if Self-Timer is assigned to it). Keep in mind that you have the option to assign other features, such as Anti-Shake or Quad-Shot, to the Second Shutter button as well.

If you want more precise control over settings such as ISO, Exposure Time, Focus, and White Balance, and you want to be able to set these parameters manually, we suggest switching to the semi-automatic SI or manual M exposure mode.
